Taxi Rates in Rome Airports

Taxi

Taxi services are obligated (as set by the City of Rome) to offer a fixed rate from Fiumicino Airport to within the city walls of Rome of 48€ per ride. This includes luggage and up to 4 passengers.  *The passenger capacity may be lower due to covid-19 restrictions.*

The trip usually takes about 45 mins and is dependent on traffic.

Things to note: You may be subject to extra charges depending on where your hotel is located within the city walls.

It is also important that the fixed rate is only applicable to the City of Rome taxis. If you find yourself in a City of Fiumicino taxi, they may charge you 60€.

If your destination is outside of the city walls it is NOT subject to the fixed rate and will be metered, you will also be charged a fee for luggage.

Be careful! There is only one official taxi rank at the airport. If you are approached by anyone outside of that rank or lead to another queue you should be suspicious, it is unlikely that the taxi is an official one.
