Discover Ancient Rome beyond the Colosseum...

This walking tour takes you to some of the best ruins in the city without entry tickets or long lines of tourists. See the lesser known ruins of Ancient Rome as we begin this tour at the famous Arch of Constantine in the piazza of the Colosseum, then walk around the Colosseum and arrive at the Ludus Magnus, the ruins of the largest gladiator school in Rome. From here walk past the Emperor’s gate of the Colosseum as your guide explains the architecture and tradition of the games.

Next, you will stroll down the Via Fori Imperiali (the Imperial Forum Road) where your friendly guide will tell you tales of the Emperors who left their mark on history in these outer forums.  As you stroll, you will get a view of the Mamertine Prison, the Senate Building, and the Capitoline Hill, now known as the Campidoglio, on your way to one of the best views of Ancient Rome.
