Explore the beautiful Bioparco Zoo in Rome...

Our driver will pick you up and take you to the Bioparco Zoo in Rome, inside the Villa Borghese park. Preferring ditches and pits to bars and cages, the area has a very open feel with most animals in large outdoor sanctuaries. The park is home to 1,114 animals of 222 species ranging from aardvarks to zebras, white tigers to pygmy hippos and even 2 young lion cubs, born in the spring of 2020. Inside the park there are two snack bars where you can purchase refreshments while mingling with the peacocks that enjoy the area as well. Upon departing the zoo, your guide will take you on a stroll through the elegant gardens of Villa Borghese, one of the most beautiful parks in Italy.

Once the private gardens of a powerful Italian family, the Borghese, their home is now one of the most impressive museums in Rome. You will learn the history of the powerful family that built the gardens and explore the many hidden treasures that they still hold, including a replica of the Globe Theater in England, a Roman Temple and a stunning lookout point with a spectacular view of Rome and Piazza del Popolo.  A perfect place for a gelato after a long day.
