Additions to the Covid-19 Italy Restrictions

On October 18, 2020 Italy’s Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced a few additions/changes to the Covid-19 restrictions in Italy.

The main changes affect restaurants and bars.  All food businesses, including restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, bakeries and gelaterie must close at midnight.  All service between 6pm and midnight must be at a table with no more than 6 people per table.  If an establishment does not have tables, they are not allowed to serve after 6pm.

Also, all local festivals and fairs are cancelled and no longer allowed, but state run festivals and fairs will go on as planned.  Be sure to check the schedules for any cancellations.

Conte also said that schools will remain open and should continue with social distancing and staggering hours/days for classes.
